My 17 years of experience as a design practitioner means I’m well positioned to lead digital product delivery teams, as I have been doing in recent years.
In a leadership role, it’s my responsibility to inspire a team, and to provide the right environment and support for them to do the best work of their careers. Because I’ve have a design background, I can equally roll my sleeves up and muck in on any project, taking an active role in design crits, helping to organise and facilitate user research.
I began my career before the specialism of ‘UX’ was well established, so I have hands-on experience in all aspects of digital design including UI and front-end development. As a result, I can relate to and ‘speak the language of’ any member of a product delivery team, from user researchers all the way through the process to engineers/developers.
